Billing guide
One flat price, a free trial, and no surprises. This page covers how the money side works from the day you sign up to the day you might leave.
The trial
Every new church gets a 10-day trial with every feature turned on. We do not ask for a card. Your admins receive a few reminder emails as the end approaches. When the trial ends without a subscription, the directory is paused: members see a short "directory paused" screen, admins are sent to the billing page, and nothing is deleted.

Both plans include everything. There are no per-member fees, no tiers and no add-ons. The price is the same whether you have thirty families or six hundred.
Subscribing
An admin opens Billing in the admin app and chooses a plan. Checkout is handled by Stripe; card details never touch HomeField's servers. You are returned to the billing page as soon as payment succeeds, and the directory is active immediately.
Managing the subscription
The billing page opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can change the card, switch between monthly and annual, download invoices and receipts, or cancel. Invoices are also emailed to the church's contact address.
Failed payments
If a renewal fails, we email your admins and start a seven-day grace period. The directory keeps working the whole time. Update the card in the portal and the next attempt goes through. If the grace period ends without a successful payment, the directory is paused until one succeeds. Nothing is deleted.
Cancelling
Cancel from the billing page or the Stripe portal. Monthly plans run to the end of the paid month. Annual plans are refunded for every whole unused month from the date you cancel, returned to the original card.
What happens to your data
After cancellation, or after a trial ends without a plan, your data is kept for 90 days. During that time an admin can still export it, and subscribing brings the directory straight back. After 90 days it is permanently deleted, including photos, and backups roll off within a further 30 days.
Receipts and tax
Stripe emails a receipt for every payment and the portal keeps a history. Where the law requires sales tax, it is shown at checkout before you pay. Whitened Fields Ministries is a sole proprietorship in North Carolina; if your church needs a W-9 or similar, write to us.
Discounts
The flat price is already meant to be within reach of a small church. If it genuinely is not, tell us and we will find a way.
If HomeField closes
We intend to run HomeField for a long time. If we ever cannot, every church gets at least 90 days notice, a full export, and a prorated refund of any prepaid period.
